Vets Now are the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, providing a trusted service to more than 1400 veterinary practices – from dedicated out-of-hours clinics and 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. The Vets Now Pet Emergency Hospital in Greater Manchester provides both a first-class referral service and an out-of-hours emergency service for veterinary practices in and around Manchester.

Clinical Floor Co-ordinator

Your role will include being responsible and accountable for the delivery of effective and efficient workflow of all clinical cases within the hospital, as well as supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager to deliver an efficient service whilst managing both the referral caseload and same day emergency cases. In this role you will work collaboratively and contribute to the strong clinical team to deliver high quality clinical and client care across the hospital. You will also work closely with all hospital colleagues to ensure efficient scheduling of emergency procedures as well as helping to reduce delays through forward planning and communication with all stakeholders.

Role requirements

The successful applicant for our Clinical Floor Co-ordinator role will be:

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary Referral Hospital is desirable
  • Familiarity with and willingness to comply with RCVS CoPC, particularly CPD and Clinical Governance
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office packages and practice management systems
  • Confident and clear communicator both face to face and in writing
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own time, and use resources efficiently to meet short- and long-term deadlines
  • Committed to professionalism, integrity and ethical standards
  • Focused on providing the highest standards of client and patient care

Working Pattern

This role will comprise of 40 hours per week, working on the following pattern:

Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
