Health & Safety Officer
Swansea, Full-time permanent role
Monday Friday days (early finish on Friday!)
£28,000 - £32,000 DOE

Our client is a leader in the construction services, looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team.
The main purpose of this role is to provide support in the delivery of Health, Safety, Environment, Compliance and Well-being both on site and in the office. You will be responsible for further developing the processes and procedure of the department, maintaining records and overseeing site based training needs, gap analysis and implementing training plans.


Health and Safety Officer - Main Duties

  • Investigate accidents, near-misses and potential incidents and prepare the appropriate report
  • Carry out risk assessments
  • Carry out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
  • Conduct in-house training and inductions
  • Produce management reports, toolbox talks and bulletins
  • Ensure that statutory requirements are being upheld throughout the organisation
  • Prepare reports to enforcing authorities and HSE as required by RIDDOR

What are we looking for in you?

  • Experience of working in the construction industry
  • Great IT Skills, including the Microsoft Office Package
  • Great numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to details
  • Holder of a full valid UK driving licence as travel to other sites will be required
