In a nutshell
Day to day
- Carry out hands-on maintenance of aircraft Cabin and IFEC and related systems and components.
- Technicians must adhere to manufacturers approved maintenance procedures and the instruction of the designated supervising Engineer.
- A Technician will also be expected to work on delegated tasks without supervision using their own initiative.
- Technicians are expected to apply sound engineering practices to their duties and to fully communicate their actions. The Quality of maintenance accomplished by Technicians will affect the safety and operational reliability of the aircraft. Failure to meet standards will impose a cost penalty on the airline, which could be combined with poor customer satisfaction and perception of VAA quality of service.
- Participate in appraisals.
- Drive effective control of costs as applicable to job role.
- Drive compliance with Engineering safety.
- Strong cabin maintenance experience
About you
We are looking for candidates with CAA Licence qualifications coupled with the associated certification responsibilities, as required - CAA Part 66 A Licence is essential.
You'll need demonstrable adaptation to change in working practices and environment with excellent communication skills.
You'll have experience and technical knowledge of the Virgin fleet sufficient to determine the airworthiness of any component or system guidance.
