The Nitty-Gritty:
What exactly you will be doing…
As a Turndown Attendant, you would be responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms and providing turndown service in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. All while ensuring that the presentation of guest bedrooms and public areas always meet the hotel’s standard. You will promote the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel consistently.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Partially removing and storing bedcover, fulfilling specified guest preferences and replenishing amenities, linens and supplies.
- Clean and stock guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, cleaning toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces
- Change bed linens
- Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves
- Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest rooms
- Vacuum and empty waste bins
- Conduct visual room inspection upon completion
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with the hotel's green guidelines
- Perform Room Attendant and other Housekeeping services, as requested
- Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Clean all public areas - corridors, stairs and public toilets as requested.
- Clean all function rooms and offices as required.
- Clean all staff quarters, corridors and lounges.
- Assist the Housekeeping Assistants in their duties as required.
- Report to the Housekeeping Manager any maintenance repairs
What qualities are we looking for?
You got skills? If you are able to perform the following, then you have come to the right place…
- Ability to scrub and scour different surfaces using the appropriate tools
- Willing to work as part of a team as needed
- Educated on using the proper cleaning chemicals to clean a room properly
- Conserve water and chemicals according to training standards
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and wiping
- Able to lift up to 12 kg
- Able to push/pull up to 25 kg
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including on the weekends, holidays and nights.
Background must-have:
- Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United Kingdom
- High school or equivalent education required.
