We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Agency & Vessel Operations Manager to join our team in Southampton, UK. The successful candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Job Description:
Purpose of the role
  • To lead efficient Agency and Vessel Operations in the Southampton terminal.
  • To ensure the highest level of Operation and Service for WWL and its customers, particularly from service level, quality and cost control perspective.
  • To coordinate with Business Operations and Marine Operations all vessel related activities and needs while in Southampton waters.
  • To ensure an efficient and optimal stevedore vessel operation, taking into consideration cargo-quality, customer needs, costs and equipment-utilization.
  • To assist general manager develop WWS SOU as an efficient and cost effective division
  • To ensure that activities are performed in a safe manner and as per safety regulations used in the port and set up within WWS.
  • ISPS MANAGER: Following the ISPS CODE
Job Requirements:
Accountabilities
  • Fulfill the purpose of leadership: Set direction, engage people, achieve results.
  • Responsible for monitoring the daily activities on vessel operations (WWS operations and 3rd party operations).
  • Responsible to give feedback and support to the General Manager on the daily activities.
  • Responsible for all Agency and Husbandry activities
  • Co-ordinate, support, instruct and motivate the stevedore team to provide a first-class service to all customers and WWO.
  • Responsible to report all relevant issues to WWS Southampton Management, Customer Growth and WWS Operations
  • Organizing, supervision, ordering, monitoring and reporting labour for WWS SOU stevedore team.
  • Responsible for reporting of performances and activities of WWS SOU stevedore team to internal and external customers as per applicable agreements.
  • Responsible for all water linked stevedore activities
  • Responsible for reporting of KPI's and statistics to WWS Management (daily / weekly / monthly)
  • Attend preparation meetings for stevedore operations
  • Optimize working practice and ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation. Endeavour operational excellence and Way of working. Follow up implemented corrective actions.
  • Seek solutions to have people work in a safe way.
  • Authorities lead, supervise and interact on vessel ops, breakbulk ops and cargo handling within areas of responsibilities
  • Continually analyze, innovate, review and act to enhance performance and procedures of the organization.
