Children's Play Village Host

Our new Children's Play Village is Waterworld Leisure Resort’s exciting brand new Indoor Role Play Family Leisure Venue.

We want to hear from the very best people who have a talent for hosting and would like to work within a high quality, caring, fun and professional environment. Our Hosts will help us to become the new best destination in Stoke!

Our hosts will play a key role in ensuring our guests are offered the warmest of welcomes and they leave with the best of memories. Our hosts must show enthusiasm and commitment to bring joy not just to the children entering our village but to the adults who play alongside them. Therefore a sense of fun and adventure is a must!

We are looking for those who have a warmth of character and a natural ability and personality to bring magic to those families who enter the Play Village.

Team members will work as a host and waiting staff. Opportunities range from 3 hours per week to 38 hours per week. Our Venue is open 7 Days a Week and we can offer a variety of contracted hours Monday - Sunday. If you are the right person, we are happy to hear from you.

Our salary rates for the role range from £5.28 - £10.50 per hour depending on age / experience.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

· Deliver a consistently high level of customer service so that customer expectations are exceeded.

· Maintain high standards of food presentation, ensuring a welcoming clean, safe and hygienic environment.

· Maintain high standards of personal presentation and personal hygiene.

· Responsible for taking customer food and beverage orders with friendly, personalised attention towards each customer.

· General cleaning and to follow the deep cleaning schedule as directed.

· Undertake all tasks as trained and directed so that high standards of health and safety and food hygiene are met.

· Provide high standards of customer care, so that the reputation of Adventure Play Village is enhanced and sales targets achieved.

· The ability to work in a noisy, active, attention-seeking and often physically demanding environment for sustained periods of time

· Responsible for processing payment and issuing change where appropriate.

· Ensure all Bistro, party and corporate food/catering is delivered safely and served professionally.

Housekeeping and Safety

· Ensure that appropriate food hygiene standards are maintained at all times.

· Ensure that counters, fridges, display units and vending machines are adequately stocked/re-stocked and that all goods are within the sell by / best before date.

· Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.

· To routinely clean and sanitise work and service areas, utensils and equipment..

· Ensure that all front of house areas are routinely kept clean and tidy.

· To ensure that all tables are cleaned thoroughly and regularly throughout the day.

· Carry out regular checks of front of house equipment and premises to ensure they are safe and in good working order and report faults to the Manager as required.

Cleaning

· Very high attention to cleanliness and hygiene throughout the whole site, keeping excellent standards

Customer Care

· Assist visitors with queries in a prompt, professional, courteous and friendly manner, so that customer care standards are met and complaints kept to a minimum.

Desirable but not essential:

· Child care

· Barista experience

· Front of House / Waiting experience

· Drama/Acting experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £10.50 per hour

The successful applicant will have to undergo a basic DBS check which must be returned clear prior to the start of employment.
