Position Overview & Specifications
We are delighted to announce that we are now hiring in Nottingham for T. Bailey (A Waystone Group Company) and are looking for experienced fund accountants/administrators to join their fast growing team.
Our offices are centrally located on St James's Street.
Summary of role:
Reporting to the Associate Director, an Associate will support the Team in large-scale operational risk deliverables within the Waystone Management (UK) Limited business, covering UK ACD responsibilities. The role will support the execution of aspects of the Company’s Fund Accounting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Accounting and Statutory Reporting
- Liaison with the delegate Fund Accountant, review of regular monthly fees, check received invoices, secure sign off and instruct the Fund Accountant to process payments, keep logs and documents.
- Assisting with the review of daily NAVs, prices, static prices, and Cash / Stock recs.
- Assisting in reviewing fund draft financial statements prepared by the delegate Fund Accountant.
- Assisting in reviewing fund distribution rates prepared by the delegate Fund Accountant.
Risk and Compliance
- Assisting with reporting of any Regulatory returns.
- Assisting in reviewing and ensuring Fund documents are up to date and accurate with relevant areas.
- Assisting in ensuring data held on the website and other external vendors / data providers is accurate and up to date for report and accounts.
Custody
- Review Custody and Cash positions on the funds.
- Review and support the resolution of settlement and failed trade issues.
- Draft custody forms for Market Openings and Tax forms / documents.
Experience Required:
- Min of 2 years’ experience within Financial Services preferably from Fund Administration.
- Exposure to Financial Statements preparation / understanding or Fund Pricing and Valuation.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management, organisational skills, and oral/written communication skills.
- Good MS Office and Analytic Skills. Mid-level information management software experience required.
