Trainee Financial Investigations Officer

Full-time, 37 hours per week

Salary Scale: Career Grade WY07/8/9 (Indicative) £30,151 - £37,261 - dependent on progression through the National Crime Agency Financial Investigation training programme

Based at Gildersome, Leeds, with hybrid/flexible working

Part of West Yorkshire Joint Services, West Yorkshire Trading Standards is an exciting and fast paced organisation serving the five district councils of West Yorkshire – Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Financial Investigations Officer to join our Financial Investigation Service, supporting criminal investigations across the spectrum of Trading Standards criminal investigations including financial exploitation and abuse, food fraud, unsafe cars, consumer product safety, cheap and illicit tobacco, doorstep crime, scams and fraud.

In this dynamic and ever-changing environment, you are guaranteed a role that will be exciting and varied as you support multiple teams within the Service, gaining new and different experiences within the role. This is a career-grade role, with the successful applicant receiving full support and mentoring to undertake the National Crime Agency training programme and become a fully accredited Financial Investigator, on satisfactory completion of a portfolio of evidence.

This role requires Enhanced DBS clearance.
