An exciting opportunity to work in our newly built, health centre Pharmacy located in the village of Wheatley, Oxfordshire.
We are an independent community pharmacy priding ourselves on our friendly, personalised, professional service delivered by people who live in the local community who really understand the needs of our patients.
We work closely with our local GPs, Nurses and other health care professionals in order to provide the very best level of care for all of our patients.
Job description
· Full time - 37.5 to 40 hours a week
· Location: Wheatley Pharmacy, Morland Close, Wheatley, Oxfordshire, OX33 1DP (on site parking facilities available).
· We are looking for a responsible, motivated, hardworking and willing to learn individual to join our team
· Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
· Main responsibilities will be:
- To ensure that the pharmacy environment is welcoming, clean and professional.
- Be the first point of contact for all customers and patients
- Selling medicines safely and effectively and processing sales using our tills
- Delivering great customer service
- Supporting the pharmacy team in handling prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Supporting the Pharmacist and team in handling queries
- To assist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients by carrying out reasonable duties as determined by needs of the business.
Essential skills and requirements are:
- Experience is not necessary however previous experience of working in a pharmacy is ideal. Full training will be provided nevertheless
- As a business, we are keen to support self development and encourage our staff to enrol onto appropriate and relevant courses (where applicable).
- Proficient use of IT
- A warm, friendly and professional attitude towards customers
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A willingness to learn and apply new skills
- Excellent time management skills and able to work to deadlines and multitask
- Excellent team working skills but independent working is also important.
