We have a full-time vacancy for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-orientated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. We are a thriving, independent pharmacy in the heart of medical London focussing on client care and satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment amongst a large professional team. You will be positioned between the dispensary and medicines counter, and will assist with the efficient running of both.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing advice and information to customers on OTC medicines, healthcare and supplements;
- Assisting with customer sales and merchandising;
- Dispensing prescriptions and helping the day-to-day running of the dispensary;
- Stock control and placing stock orders;
- Stocking shelves and display cabinets, and ensuring the shop is tidy and inviting; and
- Supporting other members of the Pharmacy Team in achieving excellence.
Mandatory skills and experience:
- Community pharmacy experience;
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a good command of English;
- Customer service skills;
- Self-motivation and excellent team-working skills;
- Ability to understand the law and guidelines on medicines; and
- Ability to comply fully and understand the importance of customer confidentiality.
Preferred skills:
- Level 2 NVQ Pharmacy Service Skills;
- Good time-keeping;
- Retail experience in a UK Pharmacy;
- Experience in visual merchandising; and
- Fast-learner with the ability to adapt working practices to our methods of working.
The role is Monday-Friday, 9am – 6pm with one hour for lunch, based in London W1.
Salary dependent on experience.
