We are a reputable recruitment consultancy, excited to announce a job opening for a Bookkeeper in Lanner, Cornwall at a privately owned accountancy business. Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain financial records using industry-standard software, particularly Sage 50.
• Collaborate with the existing team to ensure seamless financial operations for valued clients.
• Provide essential support in managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, VAT returns, and payroll processing.

Requirements:

• Minimum AAT Level 2 qualification (ACCA Level 1 & 2 advantageous).
• Prior experience working with Sage 50, enabling you to hit the ground running.
• Previous exposure to either an accountancy firm or a commercial financial department.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability, as our client base has been built over several years and requires utmost trust.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to fit seamlessly into our confident and collaborative team.
• Flexibility for full-time hours, preferably spread across 4 or 5 days.
