Overview
We are looking for a talented full-time 3D Artist to join our thriving indie game development team based in Brighton at an opening salary of £25,000. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for creating 3D models that will be used in game development and other projects. You will be collaborating closely with the team to ensure that the 3D assets adhere to the game's design and aesthetic, as well as staying up to date on industry trends and best practices. To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record as a 3D Artist, excellent understanding of 3D software and technologies such as Blender and Unity, as well as knowledge of game development processes and pipelines. Additionally, you should have strong attention to detail, creativity, and strong time management and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models for use in game development and other projects
- Rig character models and perform UV mapping
- Work with the team to develop 3D assets (including characters and environments) that adhere to the game's design and aesthetic
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and practices.
- Optimise and refine 3D models and assets to ensure they are suitable for the game engine and perform efficiently, while still maintaining a high level of detail and visual quality
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that all assets are produced to a high standard and within the allotted timeframe
- Troubleshoot any technical issues related to 3D models, textures, or assets
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a 3D Artist (qualifications help, but an outstanding portfolio is equally impressive)
- Excellent understanding of 3D software and technologies, such as Blender and Unity
- Knowledge of game development processes and pipelines
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Good time management and communication skills

- 5 day work week, Mon-Fri 10am-6pm
- On site working at our Brighton Marina office
