Position Overview & Specifications
Women's Health Dulwich in West Dulwich, provides private gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatric, and private GP care.
We provide comprehensive support and reassurance in pregnancy and provide general gynaecology care with compassion and sensitivity.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Phlebotomist / HCA to join our team.
You will provide the highest standards and safe practices of care and service to clients attending for phlebotomy and other sample collections. You will be assisting our consultants during examinations and procedures. We have both part-time and full-time posts available.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide the highest standards and safe practices of care to our patients requiring phlebotomy and assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures.
- To provide a prompt, efficient, professional service and to work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve best end to end patient experience
- To ensure that all your contact with patients, clients, staff and visitors are courteous and professional and the service delivered meets with the agreed specified protocol and agreed turnaround time of results and / or reports to consultant clients.
- To take responsibility for individualised patient care and to communicate any difficulties relating to his / her care as appropriate to the Manager.
Skills & Experience
- Recent extensive experience in phlebotomy with a variety of patients groups
- Worked in a UK healthcare environment and be able to demonstrate experience of providing care to patients
- Competency in adult and children phlebotomy using the Vacutainer System
- A good understanding of pathology investigations
- Understanding of health and safety, infection control prevention in the work environment
- Understanding of the importance of patients’ confidentiality
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
