Seasonal Assistant Gardener

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time seasonal assistant gardener to join us on a private estate next to Forest Row, East Sussex, working alongside a team of 6 experienced and friendly gardeners.

The role will entail working across the entire estate, supporting the grounds and gardens team on a wide range of gardening tasks, such as kitchen gardening, herbaceous border maintenance, lawn care and general groundskeeping. The role would particularly suit an aspiring gardener looking to gain valuable experience working on an established and prestigious private garden. Although gardening experience and technical knowledge would be desirable, we are mostly looking for dedication, work ethic, commitment and willingness to help. The job is physically demanding and will entail working in all weathers, so a good level of fitness is required.

This is a seasonal post, from the 3rd of April to the 29th of September. We offer a 6 month full-time contract, a salary of £21000 per annum pro rata, with additional company benefits such as paid annual leave and paid overtime.
