Job Description:

Xcellorate is a business incubator that turns ideas into fully functioning companies. We work with businesses in a wide variety of industries and help them through every stage of their development process, from branding, social media, event planning, marketing to networking and much more. This is a fantastic role for someone from a design background who is ambitious, hot on branding, conceptualising and illustrations but isn't shy to roll up their sleeves with some creative art brought to life. You’ll be the type of person who loves to take a brief and see it all the way through its development cycle, relishing the opportunity to work on some truly varied and fully integrated projects. Working in our team would see you helping one of the fastest growing and most unique start-ups in London, that can offer someone a lot of creative freedom.

It's a full-time role from our London Office in Liverpool Street, from Monday to Friday 9-6pm.

What you'll do:
  • Create advertising and branding for promotional events, design toolkits, social media adverts, billboards, posters, press and much more, whilst showing a strong understanding of the best print design practices where needed.
  • Respond to creative briefs both independently and alongside senior creatives and designers.
  • Ability to form custom vector shapes, icons, and fonts.
  • Design an extensive range of logos design styles for a large mix of businesses.
  • Put together unique merchandise, stationary, and print designs.
  • Draw illustrations both on tablet (Wacom) and/or hand crafted.
  • Ensure your designs are on brief, within brand guidelines.
  • Prepare files for delivery and maintain your work properly filed and organised.
  • Conceptualise & research, making sure your work is not only in line with our client’s brand but also maintaining some of the latest design trends that are forever arising.
  • Present your work back to senior creatives and managers and show willingness to handle and build upon constructive criticism.
  • Well versed in designing social media posts for platforms such as; Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube (thumbnail covers), and designing featured blog images.
  • Taking on product or outdoor photographs and enhancing the images, including making incredible graphics sit within the pictures.
Key Requirements:
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to use a tablet for illustrations and a rough understand of tools like Procreate.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a graphic designer role, working for an in-house company.
  • Strong understanding of working towards brand guidelines.
  • The ability to produce new ideas and concepts and problem solve.
  • Solid visual skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • You are not afraid to work under set deadlines and pivot quickly across multiple projects at a time.
  • Excellence in creativity, design craft and technical knowledge.
  • To be an excellent team player with a collaborative approach to working.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize your work correctly across multiple projects.
Desirable skills and experience:
  • Art Direction skills.
  • An expert in using the full Creative Cloud package.
  • General experience with Microsoft office suite.
  • Product photography skills and Adobe Lighthouse experience.
  • Some video editing/motion graphics are a plus.
  • Character and 3D Modelling would be a very welcomed skill.
  • Accustomed to agile methodologies and admin tools such as Trello.
