We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant. This role will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting as well as leading and supporting the commercial accounts team of three.

LOCATION: Nottingham – hybrid working 2 days per week working from home.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Cambridgeshire.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• You will prepare Management Accounts which will be reviewed with the Management Accountant as well as investigating revenue and costs.
• Ensuring Sales and COS figures are correct for the month by reviewing daily reporting and preparing and posting the monthly Sales & COS journal.
• Understanding and being the first line of support for the core Commercial Accounts team of three who are responsible for the daily revenue and COS reporting.
• Dealing with sales queries and support business units with analysis.
• You will also conduct balance sheet reconciliations including postings into the accounts – Accruals & Prepayments / Rebates / Fixed Assets / Expenses / Marketing journals.

REQUIREMENTS:

This role will suit someone who is a Finance specialist with strong commercial acumen with the ability to update and maintain accurate records.

Additionally, you will also have experience and skills in the following:

· Proven experience in Finance with a logical, methodical and analytical work ethic.

· Part Qualified ACCA/ CIMA. QBE will also be considered.

· The ability to work flexibly and take on new challenges
