We’re looking for part time and full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Night driver to join us based on our site at Marston Gate, Bedford. You will be working on our prestigious Wolseley contract, delivering plumbing materials to stores, in your own designated vehicle.

That’s great! We can’t wait to develop you from driving school to an experienced driver, with mentoring, nursery routes to help those new into the industry get used to making deliveries with easy to navigate locations, and regular training updates.

You’ll be representing XPO on our expanding contract with Wolseley, working 45 guaranteed hours per week on the Sunday to Thursday night shift, with start times between 2200 and 0200. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer you a competitive average OTE of £49,369, including allowances, based on the average over time of 9 hours per week., PLUS a retention bonus of up to £3000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• 
  You’ll be delivering goods to a major plumbing and heating distributor on a multi-drop basis.
• You will be responsible for opening each site to offload the goods
• Returns to be loaded on the vehicle before the site is once again secured by yourself

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• 
  LGV / HGV C+E/Class 1 Entitlement on your licence
• No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements present
• CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Strong knowledge of UK road network
• An FLT licence, however, training is available for this
