Shop Assistant / Nursery Worker - Garden Centre

We are looking for self motivated, reliable person for a full time position at our Nursery. Previous retail and/or horticultural experience would be helpful but not necessary for the right candidate. It will be a varied role based at our Sacketts Hill Garden Centre. As well as serving customers, you would be expected to clean, tidy and fill the shelves and display areas accordingly. There will be a degree of lifting e.g. compost bags .You will also be required to do potting and working on the transplanting machine in the production area where we grow our own plants as well as other plant care around the Nursery. There will be various jobs which will include bending down and kneeling.

A full Clean Driving Licence is also required.

We would expect you to be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. At times you may also be needed to help in our other branch in Deal.

To fulfil this position you would need to be flexible, have good customer service skills, experience would be helpful of using an epos till and a hard worker with a positive attitude.

You must be able to work weekends but the hours can vary depending on the right person though a full working day 8:30-4:30 or 9-5:00 would be required
