We are now looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our team on a full-time basis, for a 12 month fixed term contract, working remotely up to four days per week.

The Role

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will carry out audits of control systems throughout the company.

Evaluating the standards of health & safety, environmental, fleet, security, MHE, quality and financial controls, you will ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 28001, OHSAS 18001, AEO, BRC and MHRA / GDP certifications.

You will also prepare detailed audit reports, making recommendations to improve standards of control.

Additionally, you will:

• Carry out financial, operational, systems based and VFM audits
• Supervise junior team members
• Provide independent assurance to the Board on the standards of control
• Contribute to the development of the audit programme, approach, techniques and reporting standards

There will also be an element of European travel necessary.

About You

To be considered as a Senior Internal Auditor, you will need:

• Experience working in an audit environment
• Knowledge of modern audit techniques
• Knowledge of financial principles
• An understanding of risk and Corporate Governance issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in IT
• Formal accountancy / audit qualification preferred
