Trade Counter Assistant

£25500 up to £28000pa DOE

Lewisham, Greater London

My client a leading Builders Merchant company based near to Lewisham is looking for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant to work within their busy depot offering advice on products to new and existing customers and assisting with all sales related enquiries. Experience within roofing preferred. You will be responsible for:

• 
  Assisting and serving customers on the trade counter
• Receiving telephone orders and making calls to customers
• Upselling products to customers
• Assisting with receipt of deliveries and goods leaving store
• Resolving any queries efficiently and liaising with management and the yard staff
• Ordering stock and stock replenishment on the shop floor
• Using the company database to find and source products.

What they are looking for: You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be conscientious about delivering a great customer service experience. We are looking for candidates who are either experienced within a Trades background or are looking to start their career within this field and have the passion and drive to succeed!

This role involves working on a busy trade counter so you must be able to work on your own initiative and effectively as part of a team. An excellent telephone manner, good computer skills and previous experience within a similar trade industry / industry or sector is preferred but not essential to apply for this role.

Salary Benefits: My client is offering a highly competitive salary package of up to £25,500- £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Monday to Friday 07.00– 4.30pm alternate Saturday 07.30am - 10.30am
