- Job Title: Shift Laboratory Technician
- Job Type: Permanent
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Variable Shift patterns
- Job Location: Ellesmere Port
As a Shift Laboratory Technician you’ll be responsible for analysing samples in accordance with appropriate analytical test procedures and within customer requirements and where appropriate record results on appropriate LIMS IT system , e.g. Sofia, AS400 etc.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for analysis of samples in compliance with the client or company specified test methods ensuring (where appropriate) diagnosis is performed and / or results are reported within KPI
- Responsible, where appropriate, for accurately entering laboratory test data into relevant IT LIMS system ensuring (where appropriate) diagnosis is performed and / or results are reported within KPI.
- Where possible provide front line maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, allowing for the smooth and efficient operation of the laboratory.
How to be a successful candidate
To be a successful candidate we are looking for candidates with GCSE in Science, Mathematics and English grades A to C, or equivalent. GCSE / ONC in a science subject. Chemistry is preferable Experience of working within a laboratory environment would be advantageous but not essential and a Full UK driving licence. Happy to work variable shift patterns
