Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a part-time receptionist (15 hours per week) to provide a reception service to Begbroke Science Park. The University of Oxford Science Park at Begbroke is a cross-departmental research facility with office/laboratory space for both research groups and high-tech science-based businesses and spinouts.
Based in the Centre for Innovation and Enterprise (CIE) you will share the day to day running of reception. You will be the first point of contact for people visiting the Science Park and it is essential that you are welcoming with a smart and professional image. You will perform a range of reception and related admin duties, including responding to telephone and email enquiries, greeting visitors, taking meeting room bookings, receiving goods inwards as well as call handling for the serviced office accommodation of our client companies.
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a polite and courteous manner, good IT skills and the ability to communicate with a range of people. You will be able to work as part of a team and problem solve using initiative as required. Additional hours may be worked on occasion to cover for annual leave and sickness absence so flexibility in working hours is an advantage.
For an informal discussion about the position, please contact Barbara Allsworth, CIE Manager at barbara.allsworth@begbroke.ox.ac.uk
Applications for this vacancy should be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and a CV as part of your application. The supporting statement must explain how you meet each of the selection criteria for the post using examples of your skills and experience.
